PRIVACY & DATA POLICY

Stewart Redpath and Associates (SR&A) provide market research and brand consultancy services. An important part of our work is providing research based insight and feedback from customers and consumers for companies and organisations providing services and products. For this process to operate with integrity and to the highest professional standards, it is vital that the people who participate in our research feel free to express themselves fully and honestly.

It is therefore a central principle in ALL our projects that we abide strictly to the MRS (Market Research Society) Code of Conduct and meet 2018 GDPR standards. This means:

All respondents will remain anonymous to the commissioning client

  • How is this done?

    a. SR&A work with professional recruitment organisations to find the right people to interview on behalf of the client. The commissioning client does not know who the recruiters are and the names and contact details relating to the research respondents are never shared with the commissioning client.
    b. The feedback from the client is provided to the client as anonymous quotations or as generalised feedback as part of a sample of respondents. Care is taken to ensure that this feedback cannot be interpreted to be from a specific individual or organisation.
    c. The only exception to this rule is when the responded expressly requests to be identified to the commissioning client.
    d. In most cases, the commissioning client will be revealed during or at the end of the market research interview. If for any reason the participant (interviewee) does not want their feedback included at this point then their feedback and answers will be discounted and deleted.

We protect data

  • We take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information from loss, misuse or alteration. Data stored on internal storage devices are protected by firewalls and other appropriate security mechanisms.

  • Interview recordings, transcriptions and personal information are kept for as short a time as possible. This is usually no more than 6 months after the completion of a project. They are then destroyed. Stewart Redpath and Associates only use personal contact data supplied to them for research purposes as defined above. This data is never shared or used for other research purposes or any other purposes.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me via the contact page.
